a notebook that i began one summer in ysleta, tejas, ept. it continues east, following the course of el río grande~bravo to El Valle and into the gulf of méxico...
good question... my hope is that the poet/writer rests, reads a lot, keeps a journal, and connects/reconnects with the people, places, music, activities, memories, etc that bring her/him opportunites for feeling and reflection to feed the soul and the imagination. perhaps this process, or whatever works best for each person, will lead to new ideas and dreams for her/his writing, new opportunities.

What happens to the poet/writer when he gives up on dreams?
