Sehba Sarwar's critically-acclaimed, first novel, Black Wings was published in 2004 through Alhamra Publishing. Born in Karachi, Pakistan, Sehba is presently based in Houston, Texas, where she serves as Founding Director of Voices Breaking Boundaries, a non-profit multi-media arts organization, and cohosts a radio show and is involved in the anti-war/ pro-immigration movement. Recipient of several artist awards from Houston’s Cultural Arts Council, Sehba’s fiction/poetry has been published in anthologies in the US, Pakistan and India. She contributes to The News and Chowrangi while working on a second novel.
